”The return of Glooscap”

Among the Mic Mac /Mi’kmaq there is a legend about them meeting a white blond man that was perceived as sent from Gods.

This drama [documentary] is based on known historical facts about the Vikings and their travel to the North American continent and stories among the Indigious people (today also called people of First Nations) and about their meeting with the Norse men.

One thesis is that the vikings reached deep into Nova Scotia. The sagas of the vikings and the legend about Glooscap, the Great Spirit of the Mi´K maq tribe in Nova Scotia, ads to the scientific research.

A co production of this series will enrich the content from the perspective of two different cultures that possibly merged or at least were into trading before suddenly going into a conflict where the viking were chased away.

Below the idea and concept is presented lacking of the facts and scientific discussions as for example:

Did the Native people of North America, get the ironmade Tomahawk from the norsemen and did they learn how to manufacture it, by the skills of Vikings? Did the Vikings on this occasion learn a new way how to manufacture for instance the arrow and the bow?

Did they exchange language or other cultural meanings? There is also ideas that The Vikings crossed the continent and came all the way to the western part of North America in the areas of Victoria lake (British Columbia). They then would have met tribes that made wooden portraits of Gods just as they did.

Even the Appaches know about the Vikings!
To develop this content is the goal of the producer.

Since Mi´K maq could not be a name presented to the Norse men the synopsis below propose ”Lno”, their true name as a suggestion from people of the Mi´K maq tribe. Lno means “human being”. The story below is to be developed with documentary materials and interviews.
